Brian's professional background includes marketing and public affairs on behalf of major manufacturing and retail industry organizations, as well as experience in healthcare, construction, housing and transportation industries and policy.  He also has extensive experience in small business operations.

Brian earned a B.A. in Government at Hamilton College and is earning an M.B.A. at East Carolina University.

Brian's volunteer experiences have included volunteer firefighting, coaching special olympics hockey and golf,  the New Hanover County Scattered Site Housing Committee, mentoring at-risk youth from abusive homes, and fostering dogs in need of loving homes through the Cape Fear Golden Retriever Rescue.
